Back to Basics

October 13, 2009

A community’s quality of life, strong families and successful businesses require active citizen participation.  Grayson County’s current judge has ignored this important principle.  It’s time for us to get back to basic principles of good government.   It’s time for a County Judge who listens to, and then responds to, the people.

  • Fix Our Broken Jail, Stop the Private Prison
  • End favoritism and Secret Deals
  • Protect Senior Services
  • Remove Partisanship from County Government

What is a County Judge? A County Judge is like the mayor of the county.  He presides over the weekly Commissioners’ Court meetings and prepares the County’s annual budget.  The County is responsible for maintaining the judicial system, rural roads and local social services.  The Judge also hears uncontested probate and guardianship cases.
